Your new calendar is here.
Clearer, faster, and set up your way.
We know a new screen shakes up your habits, especially on a Monday morning. But this one will save you time: your appointments, your residents and your hours haven't moved, and what used to take several clicks now takes one. Here are five things to make the most of it starting today.
And to wrap up: the setting not to touch, then what stays the same.
Animated demo, a simplified replica of the application. Names and appointments are fictitious.
Finding your way
Three buttons to know, and everything else follows.
The screen has been reorganized around three places. What was scattered is now tidied up, what was hidden is within reach: every feature you used before can be found in a few seconds.
The settings button, on the right of the calendar bar
This is where you change appointment colors, and choose which calendars and how many days are shown. Everything that used to be scattered is gathered here.
The + button, bottom right
To create an appointment, and to find the next open slot : the icon you already know, now right here.
The displayed period, at the top left
The arrows on either side switch day or week. Clicking the period opens a calendar to jump to any date.
1Change the colors
Bring back the old look, or choose your own.
Since Monday, appointments show in soft colors on a light background: that's the Light tint style, easier on the eyes on a busy day. Preferred fully colored blocks? The Solid fill style brings them back in three clicks, and your choice is saved. Before, the display was the same for everyone. Now, everyone has their own.
This choice is yours, and yours alone
The application says so on screen: only your calendar changes, each team member picks their own. If you switch to Solid fill, your colleagues won't see any difference.
The color itself comes from the appointment type
The style (light, outline, solid) is set in the calendar, but an appointment's color comes from its appointment type, or otherwise from its category. To turn a red into a blue, go through the Appointment types and categories row, in the same panel.
2An easy-to-read calendar
Past ten columns, show fewer days or fewer calendars.
The calendar shows one column per calendar per day. One calendar over the week is five columns, and everything is easy to read. Three calendars over the week is fifteen columns: the blocks get squeezed and the names disappear. Many staff members put up with this screen without knowing it could be adjusted. Good news: it takes two clicks, and the setting is saved.
A simple rule of thumb: from ten columns up, reduce the number of days shown, or the number of calendars shown at once. Both settings are in the mock-up below, in the same places as in the application.
The number of days
The selector at the top left of the calendar: Week, 1 day, 3 days, 5 days. It's exactly the same setting as Default view in the panel. Change it on either side, the display follows immediately and your choice is remembered for your next login.
The calendars shown
The settings button, Calendars section. One box per calendar. Hide all and then a single box checked: you're working on just one calendar. The others come back in one click.
One calendar
The week view, Monday to Friday: five columns, the most comfortable to read.
Two calendars
The week still works (ten columns), 3 days is more comfortable.
Three calendars or more
One day or 3 days at a time, or show only the calendars that matter to you today.
3The + button, bottom right
Create an appointment, or find the next open slot.
The round button opens a menu with two entries, and both come out ahead: creating an appointment is clearer, and the availability search now covers all your appointment types. As before, clicking an empty slot creates an appointment right there.
New appointment
The screen has been streamlined. Three things to fill in: the resident (or no one, for a walk-in), the time slot, and the appointment type, found by category or with the search. Recurrence and details are still within reach, one step further down.
Availability
This is the former Next availability button, with the same icon, only broader: pick any appointment type and the window lists the next free slots over the coming days. One click to book the one that works.
4The date bar
The displayed period spelled out, between two arrows.
At the top left of the calendar, right after the Today button, the displayed period is written out in full: “Oct 12 - 16, 2026” for a week, “Thu, Oct 15, 2026” for a single day. The arrows on either side move forward or back by as many days as you display. The Today button brings you back to the current date.
To go further, click the period itself: a calendar opens, pick the date and the calendar takes you there. Three weeks ahead in two clicks.
This is the default display for town councils. Prefer to see the days scroll by, with how full each one is? The day strip is still there, as an option. It takes three clicks to turn on, and only your own calendar changes.
Optional
The day strip: a month of bookings at a glance, one click to get there.
Once turned on, the strip takes the place of the period and shows the coming days with a small gauge under each date: the fuller it is, the busier the day. Hover over a date to read the exact percentage, click it and the calendar takes you there.
The dotted frame shows the days displayed below. Its width depends on the selector at the top left. The arrows and the Today button work just as they do with the date only.
5Cancelled appointments
A cancelled appointment stays in place, and stands out at a glance.
A cancelled appointment doesn't vanish from the calendar. It keeps the color of its appointment type, with fine hatching on top, and the label Cancelled before the resident's name. You see right away what it was, and that it won't take place. The slot itself is free: you can book another appointment in it.
This is the default display for town councils. Would you rather a cancelled appointment fade further? The Greyed out choice turns it grey, with the text struck through. Like the calendar style, this setting is personal.
The Cancelled label stays in every case
Light hatching or Greyed out, the Cancelled label stays in front of the name. The setting only changes how the block looks, never what it says.
The hatching follows your style
Dark on Light tint and on Outline, light on Solid fill: the cancelled appointment keeps the look of your other appointments, with the hatching added.
!Team settings
One setting to leave alone: the calendar time step.
Under Display, the Team settings section applies to everyone. The Calendar time step sets the rhythm every appointment snaps to: with a 15-minute step, the first appointment is at 8:00, the next at 8:15, then 8:30. Changing it to 5, 20 or 27 minutes shifts where every appointment lands, for the whole team.
This menu didn't exist in this form before, so it's normal to be discovering it. Before you touch it, check with your administrator or our support team: we'll look at the impact with you.
The other rows in this section (confirming when an appointment is moved, appointment types and categories, online booking) are the ones you already knew, now grouped here.
To wrap up
What stays the same.
Ready to set up your calendar just the way you like it?
Open the calendar, click the settings button on the right of the bar, pick your style and your calendars. Two minutes, and it's saved. After that, you won't want to go back.
What if I can't find something? Don't spend long looking: if something's missing, it's behind the settings button. Otherwise, write to our support team or give us a call, we'll stay on the line with you while you set up your calendar. We keep improving this calendar week after week: tell us what you're missing, and we add to this page with every question.
