Le Parisien: how AI is changing daily life for town hall staff in Brittany
Le Parisien visited Brest town hall to see how HelloSpot's AI-powered citizen relationship management helps staff handle residents' requests.
On March 12, 2026, the French daily Le Parisien ran a report on HelloSpot, the citizen relationship management platform used by more than 700 municipalities, which now integrates artificial intelligence. The article was picked up the same day by Actu Lorient.
The newspaper started on the ground: the front desk of Brest town hall. Marylise, a member of the municipal staff, uses HelloSpot there for appointments, the questions that keep coming back, and tracking residents’ information. Her verdict fits in one sentence: the tool “makes life and human relationships easier for us.” On the residents’ side, a Brest woman interviewed on the steps of the town hall finds administrative procedures simpler and smoother than a few years ago.

A sorting station for residents’ requests
Ludovic Diligeart, founding president, and Dominique Péré, then chief operating officer, present HelloSpot in the article as the first citizen relationship management software powered by AI. The image the newspaper chose is that of a sorting station: every request arrives in the same place, whatever its channel, and the AI helps qualify it and route it to the right department.
The report describes two concrete uses:
- Statistics on requests from residents, organizations and associations, to see what is really coming up from the area.
- A map of the municipality that highlights, sector by sector, the planning or road problems reported by residents.
The example given speaks to elected officials: out of 500 citizen requests, the AI identifies the main trends. Before a town council meeting, an elected official can ask it to go over the latest requests and summarize them.
What this changes for a town hall
The difficulty of a town hall front desk is not just the volume. It is knowing, at any moment, where a request stands. When residents come back to the desk because they have not had an answer, the staff member who sees them often has no way of informing them without calling a colleague.
This is exactly what citizen relationship management solves: every request, whether it comes by phone, e-mail, at the front desk, by mail or online, is logged, assigned and tracked until it is closed. Front desk staff can give reliable information, and management finally has figures to steer by.
The AI built into HelloSpot relies on French technology from Mistral, within a framework that complies with the GDPR and the EU AI Act. It suggests, staff validate: the final word remains human.
Try it with no commitment
As Le Parisien reported, the system can be tested free of charge. The free version of HelloSpot lets you start with up to 1,000 requests, with no public procurement contract and no spending commitment.
